Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann took oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab on Wednesday. In his swearing-in ceremony, a family from Punjab got what no one would have expected. A youth from Sher Singh Wala village in Faridkot, who ran away from home after a fight, was found by his parents at Mann’s swearing-in ceremony after nearly seven years. This young man was found here while working during the preparations for the ceremony.
According to Hindustan Times, 26-year-old Jaswinder Singh was reunited with his family members after he came to know about him during police verification. Jaswinder was working with a tent contractor hired for the ceremony.
During verification, Jaswinder Singh could not produce any kind of identity certificate in front of the district police, but was sent to Sadiq police station in Faridkot district to verify the details given by him.
How did the young man meet the family?
Jaswinder’s father Davinder Singh, who is a daily wage labourer, said, “I was not at home when the police first came for verification and someone sent him back saying he does not live here. Later when I When I came to know, I contacted the station in-charge and our local MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon.
He said, “We reached Khatkar Kalan, but upon reaching the venue, the police did not let us in. After sometime they sent me along with the policemen and I found my son!”
Davinder Singh then said, “After a while they sent me with the policemen and I found my son! He was setting up chairs in front of the stage. Left home after failing in army recruitment exam
