According to the big news of the afternoon, the health of former Punjab Chief Minister and veteran leader of Shiromani Akali Dal, Prakash Singh Badal has suddenly deteriorated today i.e. on Saturday. Due to which he has been admitted to the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh from Muktsar district.
Let us inform that Parkash Singh Badal was infected with Corona on January last, when he was admitted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in Ludhiana. However, then he came back home after recovering. On one hand, doctors have advised him to take rest but he still wants to remain active in politics and is also contesting elections.
It is worth mentioning that Parkash Singh Badal has been the Chief Minister of Punjab five times. He was also a strong supporter of the farmers’ movement. Not only this, he even returned the Padma Vibhushan award in support of the farmers’ movement. In this regard, he then said that, “I am so poor that I have nothing to sacrifice for the farmers and what I am today is because of the people.”

Let us tell the readers that 94-year-old veteran leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Parkash Singh Badal has filed his nomination from ‘Lambi’ seat for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections. Not only this, he is the oldest candidate of the country to contest the assembly elections. It is to be known that polling for 117 assembly seats of Punjab is to be held on 20th February and counting of votes will be done on 10th March.
