After the massive and historic victory of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, the party’s chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann gave his first speech in Sangrur on Thursday. Addressing thousands of party workers and supporters, Mann promised to eliminate employment from the state and said that the youth of Punjab would no longer have to wander for employment.
Bhagwant Mann, seen as the future Chief Minister of Punjab, thanked the people for the victory, saying, “I will work for Punjab.” At the same time, he also said that Punjab will no longer be run by big houses, but by the people of villages and wards.

Mann, who contested from Dhuri assembly, said, “We have to run Punjab together, earlier Punjab used to run from houses with big doors, but after today Punjab will run from villages, will run from wards, will run from cities.” Mann has registered a historic victory in Dhuri by defeating Congress candidate by more than 45000 votes.

Photos of Bhagat Singh and Abendkar will be displayed in government offices
Along with this, Bhagwant Mann also announced that the Chief Minister’s picture will no longer be displayed inside any government office in Punjab. He said that instead of this, pictures of Bhagat Singh and Ambedkar would be installed in government offices.
AAP ahead in 79 seats in Punjab
According to the data available on the official website of the Election Commission, as of 2:30 pm, the Aam Aadmi Party was leading in 79 seats out of 117 assemblies in Punjab. At the same time, the ruling party Congress was seeing a lead in only 16 seats.
