Scott Morrison Greets PM Modi on Holi: Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrison on Sunday congratulated his ‘good friend’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) on the festival of colors Holi. Morrison tweeted, “Happy Hindu and happy Australian community, good friend Narendra Modi and all those who are celebrating this festival. Happy and colorful Holi.” He wrote in Hindi, ‘Happy Holi.’ Morrison posted a video message on Twitter and said that last year, the festival was overshadowed by the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The Australian Prime Minister said that this year the epidemic will have an impact on this festival, but people can still be ‘hopeful about the future with more confidence’. He said that India is doing a ‘big job’ of making vaccines and these vaccines are helping large parts of the world. Morrison also referred to India’s role in the Quad Group of India, America, Japan and Australia. He said, ‘We will continue to prepare the way forward together.’ Morrison said, “I congratulate all of you on Holi with a sense of unity.”
Holi will be celebrated on March 29
Holo, the festival of colors, will be celebrated on 29 March this year. Of course it is a Hindu festival, but it is also celebrated by people of other religions all over the world. It marks the arrival of spring in the country (Scott Morrison Greets PM Modi on Holi). On this day sweets are eaten, cold drinks are drunk and people play Holi with colors, water and balloons. A day before Holi, a small Holi is celebrated. Which is also called Holika Dahan. On this day people burn wood, which is a sign of the burning of the monster Holika. It is believed that in this fire of Holika Dahan all the evils are also burnt.
The relationship between the two countries is quite good
Australia and India have a very good relationship, both countries are part of the quad group. Earlier, Morrison had said that his country is working with India on technology (high-tech) and aims to take bilateral relations to new heights (India Australia Relations). Morrison said that both countries have unlimited possibilities to work together in space research, critical minerals, AI, 5G, quantum computing, and many more. It would not be wrong to say that Australia has put India at the forefront of its international partnership.
