Mumbai. The cases of corona virus infection are increasing in Maharashtra. In the last 24 hours, 46 thousand 197 new patients and 37 infected people died in the state. 2,417 new cases in Nashik
According to the local administration, 2,417 new cases and two deaths have been registered in Nashik in the last 24 hours. After which the number of infected in the district increased to 4,41,495. At the same time, 1,691 patients were discharged from hospitals in the district today. With this, the number of people recovering increased to 4,17,893.
Of the total cases reported in the district so far, 2,52,073 were found in Nashik city and 1,64,970 in other parts of the district, 13,279 in Malegaon and 7,257 from outside the district, the administration said. According to officials, 14,827 patients are currently undergoing treatment in the district.

Third wave of corona weakening in Mumbai
In the capital Mumbai, 5,708 new cases of corona and 12 patients have died in the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 15,440 people have recovered from this dangerous virus. With this, the number of people recovering from corona in the city has increased to 9,82,425 and the number of dead to 16,500. At present there are 22,103 active patients in the city.

Maharashtra among the states of concern
Earlier today, the Union Health Ministry said that Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are among the ‘states of concern’ in terms of increasing cases of corona. Central health teams have been sent to these states and are continuously reviewing the situation. While Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, UP, Gujarat, Odisha, Delhi and Rajasthan are among the top 10 states in terms of active cases.
The government also said that the current rapid increase in cases of corona virus is not happening and deaths due to corona have come down significantly due to vaccination.
The Center said that more than 50,000 active corona cases have been reported in eleven states and union territories, with a weekly case positivity rate of more than 5 percent in 515 districts.
