Shahjahanpur: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that before 2014, dividing and dividing forces were effective in this country, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave direction to “unify” the country’s politics. The foundation stone of Ganga Expressway at the hands of the Prime Minister is going to add a new dimension to the development of the state. CM Yogi said that one expressway was built inside UP from 1947 to 2017 but till then six expressways are being built. Today work is being done to strengthen the economy of UP. For the first time, the worker is getting the respect, the farmer is getting the respect. Expressway will pass through these 12 districts
The construction of the 594 km long Ganga Expressway will cost over Rs 36,200 crore. The expressway will also have a 3.5 km runway to assist in emergency take-off and landing of Air Force aircraft. This expressway will pass through 12 districts of Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. This expressway will be of 6 lanes, which can be increased to 8 lanes later. So far, about 94 percent of the land has been acquired for this expressway. About 140 rivers/streams/canals/nallahs are involved in the expressway project. Apart from this, 07 railway overbridges, 14 major bridges, 126 minor bridges, 375 underpasses, 17 interchanges and 15 ramp toll plazas are proposed to be constructed on this expressway. Employment opportunities will also be created by the construction of the expressway. According to estimates, during the construction of this expressway project around 12 thousand persons will be employed temporarily, while the construction of toll plaza will provide permanent jobs to about 100 persons.
