Mumbai: There are restrictions on dance bars across the state including Mumbai. Despite this, dance bars are running in the name of orchestral bars. The latest example of this was seen in Andheri area of Mumbai. The social service wing of Mumbai Police raided a bar in Andheri. During the action, the police found 17 girls from the basement. A case has been registered against three employees including bar manager and cashier at Andheri police station.
A complaint was made by an NGO that even during the Corona period, the dance bar is openly running in violation of the rules. Mumbai Police’s Social Service Branch team raided a bar in Andheri (East) between 11.30 and 12.30 pm on Saturday night. There the police did not find the bar girls, so he was quite surprised. The NGO’s complaint was found to be false by the Social Service Branch, but within no time, the police’s investigation revealed that 17 girls were hiding in the basement built inside the bar.
