Pune: The Pune Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught a police constable red-handed while accepting Rs 3,000 as a bribe for not taking action in the registered case. This action was taken at Vadgaon Maval Police Station in which a police constable named Santosh Pandurang Mane has been arrested. Mane is working in Vadgaon Maval Police Station. In this case, the 32-year-old complainant had lodged a complaint with the Pune Anti Corruption Bureau.
As per the information given by the ACB, the complainant’s wife lodged a complaint with the police station. Accordingly, an FIR has been registered against the complainant. Santosh Mane is investigating this matter. Mane demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000 for not taking action in the FIR registered against the complainant. Later, by agreement, this amount was fixed at three thousand rupees. However, the complainant was not ready to pay the bribe.
