The PMO said that the objective of this festival is to shape the thoughts of the youth of India and transform them into a united force for nation building. He said that it is one of the biggest exercises of social integration and intellectual and cultural integration. Its objective is to bring together the diverse cultures of India and unite them in a single thread of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’.
This year, in view of the changing situation of COVID, the festival is to be held digitally on January 12-13. According to the PMO, after the inauguration, there will be a National Youth Summit, where four identified topics will be discussed. During the ceremony, Modi will release selected essays on “Mere Sapno Ka India” and “Unsung Heroes of Indian Freedom Movement”. These essays have been selected from the essays received from more than one lakh youth on both the subjects.
