PM Modi said that his government is working on three aspects to strengthen the start-up, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem in the country.

National Start-Up Day: PM Modi today (January 15) on the completion of 6 years of Start-up India, interacted with future businessmen i.e. businessmen who started startups. On this occasion, he has asked the country and the country to do innovation so that the challenges the country is facing can be dealt with. PM Modi said that the government is working on three aspects to strengthen the start-up, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem in the country.

Apart from this, PM Modi has announced to celebrate January 16 as National Start-up Day from now on. The Prime Minister said that the innovative youth of the country are raising the flag of India in the world of start-ups and this culture of start-ups reaches the far-flung areas of the country, for this, January 16 is now as National Start-up Day. According to Prime Minister Modi, this decade is being called the Techade of India. PM Modi said that there are three important aspects of the massive changes that the government is making in this decade to strengthen the innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem. First to make entrepreneurship free from bureaucracy, secondly to create institutional mechanism to promote innovation and thirdly to handholding of young innovators and youth enterprise.

India is growing fast in innovation

PM Modi said that rapid work is being done on innovation in India and due to this, India’s ranking in the Global Innovation Index has improved. India was ranked 81 in this ranking in the year 2015 and is now at number 46 in the Innovation Index. About nine years ago, in the year 2013-14, 4,000 patents were approved, while last year more than 28 thousand patents were approved. On the other hand, in the year 2013-14, about 70 thousand trademarks and 4 thousand copyrights were registered, while in 2020-21, more than 2.5 lakh trademarks and more than 16 thousand copyright were registered.
