Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo K. Chandrashekhar Rao, who once used to be very soft-hearted towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been continuously criticizing the saffron party after the budget. He has criticized PM Modi on many occasions. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Modi on Thursday wished Chandrashekhar Rao on his 68th birthday. Let us inform that KCR is creating a third front in view of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “Congratulations to Telangana Chief Minister KCR Garu on his birthday. Praying for his long and healthy life.” Although all the Chief Ministers definitely get birthday tweets from PM Modi, but this has come at a time when KCR has been attacking against PM Modi for some time now.

Rao had recently said that he would soon hold meetings with his Maharashtra and West Bengal counterparts Uddhav Thackeray and Mamata Banerjee as part of efforts to unite various political parties against the BJP and the NDA government. It is reported that a meeting between KCR and Thackeray will be held on February 20.
Rao said that he can go to Mumbai anytime to meet Thackeray. Whereas, West Bengal Chief Minister is expected to come to Hyderabad to meet Rao. Rao said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be removed for its alleged “anti-people policies”. He said that he would play a major role in uniting the anti-BJP political parties.

Alleging corruption in the Rafale fighter jet deal, Rao said he would approach the Supreme Court to bring out the truth. Asked whether he was still considering a non-BJP, non-Congress front alliance, Rao said, “Mamata behen (Mamata Banerjee) called me. We had a discussion on the phone. She invited me to come to Bengal or she would come to Hyderabad. He said feed me dosa. I said welcome. She can come anytime.
However, he did not give a direct answer whether he would lead the opposition parties. He said that one thing I promise you that I will play the lead role in it. He also said that as of now there is no concrete plan as to how the opposition unity will be formed in future and the people of the country should rise to the occasion. Rao said that he met several opposition leaders and chief ministers ahead of the 2019 elections, but things fell apart after the BJP came back to power. He claimed that the present situation is now proving disastrous for the country, as it is getting worse day by day.
