However, Pfizer has said that it is negotiating with the government afresh. In fact, in February, Pfizer had applied for the vaccine, but withdrew it due to the local trial rules.
Vaccine up to 95% effective: Pfizer
A Pfizer spokeswoman told the news agency Reuters that the company had included the data in its application for emergency approval. It was told in this data that the vaccine is up to 95 percent effective without any worries. When the spokesperson was asked whether he had talked about the relaxation of the rules of the trial in the ongoing conversation with the Government of India. On this, the spokesperson said that the safety data of the vaccine and its efficacy have been supported by the regulators of US, UK, Japan and World Health Organization. India supports these agencies.
Pfizer ready to deliver vaccine to vaccination centers
Pfizer, which prepared the vaccine with its German partner BioNTech SE, reiterated that it would supply the vaccine only through government deals. When questioned about the need to store the vaccine at a very low temperature, Pfizer said that the company can deliver the vaccine to the vaccination center, especially through temperature control shippers. Pfizer said that the vaccine can be kept at extremely cold temperatures for six months. In these special shippers, they can be kept for 30 days, but every five days it has to be filled with dry ice.
