Government oil companies have increased the prices of petrol and diesel by up to 84 paise per liter today. Petrol and diesel have become costlier by 80-80 paise per liter in Delhi. After this increase, now petrol in Delhi has become Rs 104.61 per liter. At the same time, diesel has become Rs 95.87 per liter. Petrol is being sold beyond Rs 121 in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. Petrol prices have increased by about Rs 9.5 in 13 times since March 22.

According to the Moody’s report, petroleum companies Indian Oil, HPCL and BPCL have suffered a loss of Rs 19,000 crore due to no increase in fuel prices from 4 November 2021 to 21 March 2022 i.e. 137 days. Indian Oil has been estimated to have a loss of between 1 billion to 1.1 billion dollars, BPCL and HPCL each 55 to 650 million dollars. Because of this, now the oil companies are compensating for the loss by increasing the price.
