Indore: A 55-year-old miscreant and his two sons have been arrested for spreading panic and vandalism by openly waving a knife in a dispute over serving cold bread in a hotel in Indore. The police gave this information on Tuesday. According to eyewitnesses, after the arrest, the police took the three people to the hotel related to the developments in Khajrana area on Monday night, where they not only apologized to the hotel operator for their actions, but also cleaned the hotel. Videos of these scenes have gone viral on social media.
Khajrana police station in-charge Dinesh Verma said that the old miscreant Rafiq Pardeshi alias Powder (55) and his two sons- Farid alias Chhotu (35) and Asif (22) have been arrested for spreading panic in the hotel. Verma told that the three people had a dispute a week ago over cold roti being served in the hotel. He told, “During the dispute, Farid, waving a big knife, overturned the utensils filled with food kept in the hotel. After this the hotel operator and other frightened people had to run away.
It is worth noting that this incident of panic was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in the hotel and after its video spread on social media, questions were raised on law and order in Khajrana area. However, after the arrest, new videos of the three accused have surfaced. In the video, one of these people is seen plastered on one hand, while the other person is seen strapped on one leg.
When asked about this, Khajrana station in-charge Verma said, “The two miscreants got these injuries after they fell on the ground while fleeing in fear of arrest after seeing the police party in front and their medical examination has been done.” He said that a minor boy has been detained for spreading panic in the hotel.
