Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a new notification on Saturday in view of the new strains of Corona found in South Africa and Brazil. The authority has released a list of countries on which a travel ban has been imposed. Apart from this, other countries are divided into A, B and C categories. Countries in the C category have been banned completely. This ban will continue from 23 March to 5 April.
Restrictions imposed on these countries
Pakistan has clarified that there will be a complete travel ban on countries in the C category. Even Pakistani passport holders, POC holders will not be able to enter the country during this time. The C category includes Botswana, Brazil, Colombia, Comoros, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Peru, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia.
A and B tier countries
Countries of A category will not require RT-PCR report for entry into Pakistan. The category includes Australia, Bhutan, China, Fiji, Japan, Kazakhstan, Laos, Mongolia, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Trinidad and Tobago and Vietnam. Apart from this, the countries which are not included in A and C are all in B category. Britain is in the C to B category.
