Recently, a video went viral, in which two real brothers separated after the partition of India and Pakistan, after 74 years, were seen crying and hugging each other at Kartarpur Gurdwara in Pakistan. Now the Pakistan government has approved the visa of a brother living in India on Friday, so that he can go to Pakistan to meet his brother and other relatives.
Sika Khan had not even learned to stand and walk properly when he was separated from his elder brother Mohammad Siddiqui and other family members during the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. A popular Pakistani YouTube channel ‘Punjabi Lehar’ highlighted the story of these two brothers, after which they were able to contact each other over a video call in 2019.
In early January, the same YouTube channel introduced the two brothers to the Kartarpur Gurdwara with their own efforts. Let us inform that the Government of India and Pakistan have created a special corridor through which Indian citizens can go without any visa to Kartarpur Sahib, which is a major shrine of the Sikh community.

When the video of the two brothers crying and hugging each other at the Kartarpur Gurdwara surfaced, it left thousands of people across the border emotional in both the countries. Sika Khan lives in Phulewala village of Bathinda district of Punjab. While meeting his brother at the Kartarpur Gurdwara, he came to know that his parents had named him Habib Khan at birth.
On Friday, the Newly-based Pakistan High Commission approved Sika Khan’s visa, so that he can visit Pakistan to meet his brother and other family members.
The Pakistani High Commission said in a tweet, “The story of the two brothers is a living example of how the visa-free Kartarpur Sahib Corridor opened on the Pakistani side in November 2019 is bringing people of both countries closer to each other.” . “
Sika Khan met Aftab Hasan Khan, in-charge of the Pakistani High Commission and other officials of the High Commission and thanked them for their cooperation.

The YouTube channel ‘Punjabi Lehar’ is run by two youths from Pakistan, Nasir Dhillon and Lovely Singh. The channel focuses on bringing to the fore the stories of families from the Punjab region of both the countries, who were separated at the time of Partition. According to an estimate, about 12 million people of this area had migrated at the time of partition, of which more than 65 lakh people had migrated from India and about 50 lakh people had migrated from Pakistan side.
Nasir and Lovely came to know about these two brothers in 2019, when they had gone to a village named Bogran located near Faisalabad, Pakistan.
