Britain has included Pakistan in the list of 21 countries which are involved in money laundering and Terror Financing case.

Pakistan has asked Britain not to take politically motivated and wrong measures against Islamabad. In fact, Britain has included Pakistan in the list of 21 countries which are involved in money laundering and Terror Financing case. This has increased the anger of Pakistan and it has said that it has nothing to do with money laundering and terrorist financing. Significantly, Pakistan is considered a safe haven for terrorists.
The Foreign Ministry of the neighboring country issued a statement saying, “We have seen the Money Laundering and Terror Financing (Amendment) (High Risk Countries) Regulations 2021 issued by the UK regarding some countries including Pakistan. This assessment by the UK is not based on facts. We have been opposed to money laundering and terrorist financing. We hope that Britain will review its regulations report on the basis of facts and avoid politically motivated and wrong measures.
Tightened money laundering and terrorist financing: Pakistan
Pakistan, a hideout of terror, while presenting its side, said that in the last two years, Pakistan has taken important steps legally, institutionally and administratively. Through these steps, money laundering and terrorist financing cases have been tightened. Pakistan Foreign Ministry said that Pakistan does not support terror. However, he did forget to tell that in his country, terrorists are seen freely roaming around.
FATF’s gray list includes neighboring countries
The Foreign Ministry said that it is the result of the steps taken by Pakistan that the FATF gave its information to the European Union. The international community also knows that Islamabad has taken action against the terrorists. Completion of 24 out of 27 points of FATF by Pakistan shows that Pakistan is taking concrete steps to stop terror financing and money laundering. However, Pakistan still remains in the gray list of the FATF.
