Nashik: Oxygen Plant has been built at Dr. Zakir Hussain in Kathda of the city and New Bitco Hospital on Nashik Road. Necessary central government peso permit has been received for this plant. This has solved a major technical problem.
Since last week, the number of corona patients in Nashik has started increasing. During this, a patient of Omicron has also been found. In such a situation, after getting a clear indication of the start of the third wave of corona, the Medical Department of the Municipal Corporation has started its preparations from the point of view of health security.

Due to the lack of oxygen in the second wave of Corona, there was an atmosphere of panic. Keeping this in mind, Municipal Commissioner Kailash Jadhav has reviewed important things like availability of oxygen, covid center, condition of beds in private hospitals etc. Oxygen plants with a capacity of 19 kilo liters have been set up in Bitco Hospital and 13 kilo liters in Dr. Zakir Hussain Hospital so that there is no shortage of oxygen. But the plant cannot be started until Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization (peso) is not allowed. But now after getting permission from the Municipal Corporation, the work of preparing oxygen from this oxygen plant will start.

Two plants of 19 and 13 KL have been set up at Hussain and Bitco Hospital respectively. With this, 22 PSA plants have been prepared. The oxygen generation capacity of this plant is 23.25 metric tonnes. The third wave will require 240 metric tonnes of oxygen per day. Oxygen availability capacity has reached 416 metric tonnes in private and government hospitals. To ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen, the Municipal Corporation has separately kept a buffer stock of 100 metric tonnes of oxygen available.
