PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said, “Exposing human blood and inciting violence is never the answer to any situation.”
Violence continues in Pakistan
Imran Khan’s government has come under attack from the opposition for the violent protests in Pakistan. Opposition parties have strongly criticized Imran for not handling the protests properly. Significantly, during the anti-France protests in Lahore on Monday, three activists of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) were killed. At the same time, many people including policemen were badly injured in this violent demonstration.
PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari said, “Exposing human blood and inciting violence is never the answer to any situation.” History has taught us that violence only leads to violence. He questioned that fighting on the main issues of the country is the real fight and not only understanding the issues. Why did this government not implement the National Action Plan when the situation deteriorated. Why did the government not discuss this issue in Parliament?
Government failed to control the situation peacefully: Bilawal
Bilawal condemned the violence and expressed condolences to those killed. He said that this violence spread because the government was not able to handle the situation in peace. The Chairperson of the PPP said that the pressure on mainstream national parties to incite ethnic, religious and communal hatred had started since the time of General Ziaul Haq. This dictatorial tool is still used today as a weapon to reduce the patience and size of mainstream political parties.
Violence hurts every Pakistani: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi
Secretary General of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), a coalition of opposition parties and PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, also condemned the violence. He said, PDM believes that Namo-e-Risal is the foundation of a Muslim ideology. No Muslim can compromise on this. He said that the recent incidents have been tragic for every Pakistani. The government has completely failed to establish peace in the country. Abbasi said, the loss of lives of citizens and officials was due to the failure of the government.
TLP and government have only one objective: Imran Khan
On the other hand, Imran Khan addressed the nation on Monday amid the ongoing violence in the country. He said that the TLP and the government have the same objective, but the method of both is completely different. Imran said, our country was formed for Islam. Prophet is in our heart. And anytime anywhere in the world, someone will insult them, then it will hurt us. This will cause pain to Muslims all over the world.
