New Delhi: In the midst of the Corona Updates crisis in India, the threat of Omicron is increasing continuously in the country. So far, the cases of the new variant of the corona virus in the country, Omicron, have now increased to 4,461. Out of 4,461 cases of Omicron reported, 1,711 people have so far recovered or have returned abroad. Maharashtra has the highest number of 1,247 cases.
At the same time, apart from Maharashtra, cases of Omicron are also continuously coming up in other states of the country. So far 645 cases of Omicron have been registered in Rajasthan, 546 in Delhi, 479 in Karnataka and 350 in Kerala.

Apart from this, after the arrival of 1,68,063 new cases of corona virus infection in the country, the total cases of infection have increased to 3,58,75,790. According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry on Tuesday, 4,461 of these cases are also of Omicron nature. According to the data updated at 8 am, the maximum number of patients under treatment after 208 days in the country was recorded at 8,21,446, while the death toll of COVID-19 has reached 4,84,213 with the death of 277 more patients.

The ministry said that the patients under treatment account for 2.29 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national recovery rate from COVID-19 has come down to 96.36 percent. In the last 24 hours, the number of patients undergoing treatment for COVID has increased by 97,827.
