Omicron symptoms: The new variant of the corona virus, Omicron, is spreading rapidly all over the world including India. Although it is being repeatedly claimed by experts that this variant of Corona is not very fatal. But we will tell you that health experts have not yet reached any decision regarding this infection and scientists are continuously researching it.
This is the reason why doctors are constantly appealing that you do everything possible to avoid getting caught by this virus. Meanwhile, Dr. Sonam Solanki, Consultant Pulmonologist and Bronchoscopist at Masina Hospital, has put together a list of symptoms of Omicron variants that you should pay attention to.
These are the main symptoms of Omicron variants
Dr Sonam Solanki said that the symptoms of Omicron generally start with body aches, general weakness, fatigue, headache and fever in the initial days and finally they may also have cough which is dry sometimes with cold Where water comes from the nose during sneezing.
He said that the cough is usually dry which gets better over the next few days. Most of the time, in 80 per cent of the patients, the fever is getting better within the first 3 days and if not, it becomes a sign of moderate to severe infection, which requires close monitoring.
Dr Sonam Solanki further said that it is important to prevent the spread of the infection to oneself and to other members of your family by isolating yourself at the right time. Therefore it is imperative to use rapid antigen. If the rapid antigen is negative and even then you are showing any symptoms, then RTPCR will assure whether you are suffering from any variant of COVID or not.
Health experts from different countries have almost the same opinion about the way Omicron is dominating the body. Everyone says that people infected with this virus first have a sore throat or a burning sensation in the throat. However, some health experts also say that a sore throat comes along with the problem of headache and cough.
Let us tell you that before reaching the nose, this variant is spreading the infection well in the throat. Although experts believe that being infected with this virus does not affect the aroma and taste. The doctor suggested that even if you have to go out, wear the mask properly. On the other hand, if you have symptoms and you need to go out for any reason, then you will have to wear an N95 mask.
