Mumbai. Cases of Omicron are coming to the fore in Maharashtra. Due to which an atmosphere of fear has been created among the people. The virus is at least three times more contagious than Delta. Due to which the government has also come under tension. The government is keeping a close watch on the travelers coming from abroad. Meanwhile, according to the report of the National Institute of Virology, 11 new Omicron cases have been reported in the state on Tuesday. Of these, 8 patients were found in Mumbai. Whereas, while 1-1 patient has been found in Pimpri Chinchwad, Navi Mumbai and Osmanabad. The total number of Omicron infected in the state has increased to 65.
According to the State Health Department, out of 11 new patients found in the state, 8 patients have been found in the investigation conducted at the Mumbai airport. Out of which 1-1 patients are from Thane, Kerala and Gujarat. While the remaining 5 patients are residents of Mumbai. These include two children under the age of 18. Of the 8 patients found in Mumbai, 4 have travel history to England, while 2 patients have travel history to Uganda (Y Dubai) and 2 patients have travel history to Dubai. Except for children under the age of 18, all patients have received the corona vaccine. All infected are either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.
