Lucknow: The Yogi government of the state has given a strict warning on illegal mining. Chief Minister Yogi has said that if illegal mining takes place then the officers are not well. In a high-level meeting on Wednesday, the Chief Minister directed the officers to take strictest action against the mafia on receipt of complaints of illegal mining. He told the officials in the high level meeting that immediate action should be taken on the complaints of illegal mining.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the district officials should take the complaints of illegal mining seriously. Illegal mining will not be accepted under any circumstances. He said that wherever the complaint of illegal mining comes, the concerned District Magistrate and the Police Captain should stop immediately if the complaint of illegal mining is received. The responsibility of illegal mining taking place in the district will be with the concerned officials. He asked the officials to take strictest action against the mining mafia.

It is worth noting that illegal mining has always been a big issue in Uttar Pradesh. In the previous governments, there was a lot of illegal mining going on and it also had political patronage. The Yogi government has been strict against illegal mining ever since it came to power. From time to time, campaigns have been launched to stop illegal mining in the state. Till July this year, 3371 mining mafia were identified. 19,121 cases were registered and 2281 accused were arrested. Rasuka against 42 accused, gangster on 1530, 67 accused were attached. Apart from this, the Goonda Act and the history sheet of 911 accused were opened against 1030 accused. Along with this, the weapons of 44 accused were canceled. Simultaneously, an online system was started for transparency in allowing mining.
