Apollo Hospitals and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories said on Monday that they are tying up with Sputnik V to start the COVID-19 vaccination program. The first phase of the program will begin on Monday with vaccination in Hyderabad and on Tuesday (May 19) in Visakhapatnam. Vaccination will follow SOPs recommended by the government, including registration on CoWIN.
Vaccine availability will increase to people
Hari Prasad of the Hospital Division President of Apollo Hospitals said in a statement that in the pilot phase, Dr. Reddy’s and Apollo will prepare for the trials and launch of the arrangements and cold chain logistics. They are confident that with the Sputnik V vaccine, they will be able to make the availability and access of the COVID vaccine easier for the society at large. He further said that with the opening of vaccination programs for the private sector, the healthcare giant has stepped up efforts to speed up the vaccination rate by opening vaccination centers in its network of hospitals.

Prasad said that they are also discussing with the corporate that they should also get vaccinations in their premises. He is currently applying the Corona vaccine to a total of 60 locations across the country, including Apollo Hospitals, Apollo Spectra Hospitals and Apollo Clinics.
