Three “elderly” individuals had been discovered lifeless inside a Newton residence Sunday morning, as police examine the obvious murder and seek for the alleged triple homicide suspect.
Newton Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office had been investigating within the metropolis’s Nonantum neighborhood Sunday afternoon.
Police responded at round 10:14 a.m. to a Broadway Street residence after “three elderly persons were found dead inside the home from an apparent homicide,” the Middlesex DA’s Office stated in a press release.
“At this time police are actively searching for the person or persons responsible,” the DA’s Office added Sunday afternoon. “This is a very active and ongoing investigation.”
There was a large police presence within the quiet residential neighborhood on Sunday afternoon. The massive Massachusetts State Police Incident Command middle arrived on the scene.
The space of Broadway Street between Churchill and Linwood Avenue remained closed, and folks had been being requested to keep away from the realm.
“Residents of the Nonantum area should expect to see an increased police presence,” the DA’s Office added. “As always, residents are asked to remain vigilant, check door and window locks and report any suspicious activity to Newton Police at 617-796-2123. In an emergency call 911.”
