Another 12 months, one other checklist of MBTA service disruptions.

Orange and Green Line service can be disrupted this month in downtown Boston due to the demolition of the Government Center Garage. Also, the newly launched Medford Branch of the Green Line can be changed with shuttle buses Sunday for water line work.
In addition, the Red Line can have service adjustments this weekend as a result of MBTA performing restore work at JFK/UMass station.
Private developer HYM Construction is engaged on the demolition undertaking for the Government Center Garage — which is situated above the downtown tunnels of the Orange and Green strains. Closures may also happen on the Orange Line between Back Bay and North Station, and on the Green Line between North Station and Government Center Station in the course of the weekend of Jan. 14 to fifteen. The MBTA is recommending that Orange Line riders use the Green Line between Copley and Government Center stations. Green Line service between North Station and Government Center Station can be changed with shuttle buses.
The MBTA may also carry out upkeep on observe, sign and energy techniques, together with the substitute of rail between Chinatown and Tufts Medical Center stations.
“Riders are also advised that, due to the complexity of the continued demolition of the Government Center Garage by HYM Construction, additional weekend diversions will be necessary in the coming months to accommodate the ongoing work,” the T stated. “The MBTA apologizes for this inconvenience and will announce additional service changes in advance as they are confirmed and scheduled.”
Meanwhile, Green Line Medford Branch trolleys can be changed with shuttle buses between Medford/Tufts and East Somerville stations in each instructions this Sunday. This disruption is for emergency restore work on the water strains, which require extra insulation. Riders may use Bus Routes 80 and 87 for service all through the world on Sunday.
Also, Red Line Ashmont and Braintree Branch trains can be changed with shuttle buses between Broadway and Ashmont stations and between Broadway and North Quincy stations this weekend. This diversion is for restore work on the pedestrian bridge between Columbia Road and the foyer at JFK/UMass station.
