Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the previous governments did not pay due attention to the development of tourism potential of Uttar Pradesh, which is blessed by nature and God. In UP before 2017, people did not even want to invest in industrial due to the poor law and order situation in UP. But today the state is moving ahead with a lot of possibilities of tourism development.
The Chief Minister said that if anyone has understood the tourism potential of the country after independence, then it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi. As a result of his visionary and positive thinking, Uttar Pradesh is telling a new story today on the map of tourism development.
Several projects launched
Chief Minister Yogi was inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 488 projects worth Rs 642 crore related to tourism development in a program organized at his official residence in Lucknow on Thursday. In the program, through virtual medium, Union Culture and Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Union Minister of State Ajay Bhatt were also present. The Chief Minister said that in the year 2013 Prayagraj Mahakumbh there was a situation of chaos, filth and stampede. Wherein the Prayagraj Kumbh of 2019 was “divine and grand. Today Deepotsav of Ayodhya, Krishna festival and Rangotsav of Mathura and Dev Deepawali of Kashi are attracting the whole world. We have paid attention to the development of every area including Shuk Teerth, Naimish Dham, Gorakhpur, Kaushambi, Sankisa, Lalapur. Not only this, through the Chief Minister Tourism Promotion Scheme, work has been done to carry forward the systematic development of one or the other tourist destination in all 403 assembly constituencies of the state.

Development of more than 700 tourist places in the state
Today more than 700 tourist places have been successfully developed in the state. The Chief Minister said that every place which is associated with our cultural, historical identity and faith, respecting everyone, the work of development of every place is being done. Along with religious tourism, eco tourism is also being encouraged. These efforts have also created a large number of employment opportunities for the youth. Inaugurating 154 development projects worth Rs 191.04 crore, he celebrated Chaurichaura centenary year on Amrit Mahotsav year of Independence, Drone and Light and Sound Show at Lucknow Residency, Tourism Development of Mahakavi Nirala’s land, cherishing memories of immortal martyrs at Kakori and Shahjahanpur. Union Culture and Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy, while participating virtually in this program of inauguration-foundation, described the efforts made by the Yogi government for tourism and culture promotion as unprecedented. He said that the Yogi government is uplifting the cultural heritage. This is the new picture of New India. Referring to the development works in the Braj region, the Union Minister said that this temple is our soul. If it is removed nothing will be left. The Union Minister praised road, air, water, road and ropeway connectivity for the convenience of tourists and citing the example of restoration of the statue of Mother Annapurna in Kashi, Ramayana circuit, Buddhist circuit, Krishna circuit, said that Ram Rajya in Uttar Pradesh Is. On the special occasion, the annual calendar and booklet based on the achievements of the tourism department were also released.
