He broke his own record of climbing Mount Everest the most times. Mingma Sherpa, president of ‘Seven Summit Treks’, which organized this mountaineering expedition, said that Kami Rita Sherpa started this expedition by leading 11 other Sherpas. This team successfully reached Mount Everest on Friday evening.
The Nepal government has issued permits to 408 foreign climbers to climb Mount Everest this year. Kami Rita first climbed Mount Everest in 1994 and since then he has been climbing it almost every year. He is one of the Sherpas whose skill and skill has enabled hundreds of climbers to climb this 8,848.86 meter high peak every year. Rita has climbed K2 and Mount Lhotse once, Mount Manasalu three times and Mount Cho Oyu eight times.
The family asks Rita to leave the mountaineering
Kami Rita was present during the avalanche that took place at Everest’s base camp in 2015. 19 people died in this avalanche, while many people were buried under it. After this disaster, there was a family pressure on Rita to leave the mountaineering, because there is a lot of danger in it. However, he explained to his family and continued his passion of mountaineering and succeeded in conquering the world’s highest peak for the 25th time.
Climbers attempt to climb when there is clear weather in May
This time 43 teams have been allowed by Nepal Government to climb Mount Everest during the spring season. Every year in May, the weather is clear only once, when climbers try to conquer this peak. During this time, they move towards the top of the mountain, equipped with equipped gears. Nepal suffered a lot due to the Corona epidemic last year, because through mountaineers it benefits a lot.
