Mumbai: The war between Ukraine and Russia (Ukraine-Russia War) has now taken a terrible form. Hundreds of people are trapped in Ukraine because of the war. There are also many Indian citizens among them, most of whom are students (Indian Students in Ukraine). In such a situation, the central government is making every effort to expel it from Ukraine. Meanwhile, NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Monday had a phone conversation with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and discussed the evacuation of Indian students stranded in Ukraine.
By the way, it is being told that thousands of students of India are trapped in Ukraine. Out of these, about 1200 to 2000 people from Maharashtra are trapped in Ukraine. According to ANI, in Sharad Pawar’s conversation with External Affairs Minister Jaishankar, especially Pawar discussed the evacuation of Indian students trapped in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Earlier, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had told that about 1200 to 2000 people from Maharashtra are trapped in Ukraine. He has said that, ‘We are working closely with the Center to bring everyone back safely.’
NCP chief Sharad Pawar spoke with EAM Jaishankar over phone & discussed evacuation of Indian students stuck in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Discussions also held on evacuations via Belgorod (Russia) route. Matter of aiding students stuck at Romania-Poland border also discussed.

Let us know that as soon as the 5th flight landed in India in Delhi this morning, the number of Indians rescued under ‘Operation Ganga’ from Ukraine has reached 1,156 so far. This flight reached Delhi at 6.30 am carrying 249 people. This is the 5th flight of Operation Ganga.
