Kiran Gosavi, an independent witness of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Mumbai cruise drugs case, has been detained by the Pune Police in a cheating case. This case was registered in 2018. After the NCB raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2, pictures and videos of Gosavi with Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who was arrested in the case, went viral. He was absconding in the case. Gosavi is said to be a private investigator.
Prabhakar Sail, another independent witness in the drugs case, has alleged that after Aryan was brought to the NCB office, he called on Gosavi to demand Rs 25 crore from a person named Sam D’Souza and decide the case for Rs 18 crore. Heard talking about it, because he had to pay 8 crore rupees to Sameer Wankhede (Director of Mumbai Zonal of NCB).

Gosavi had on Monday refuted all the allegations of SAIL and said that he would surrender before the Lucknow Police. Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said on Thursday that he has detained Gosavi in a 2018 fraud case.
Gosavi is said to have been present during the raid on the cruise ship and was later seen with Aryan Khan at the NCB office. Her selfie taken with Aryan Khan also went viral on social media. Gosavi is an independent witness of NCB in this case. The agency has so far arrested around 20 people in the case.
The Pune Police had earlier arrested Gosavi’s assistant Sherbano Qureshi in a fraud case filed by Chinmoy Deshmukh. Deshmukh had alleged that Gosavi cheated her to the tune of Rs 3.09 lakh in the name of getting her a job in Malaysia. This money was deposited in Qureshi’s account. The case was registered at Faraskhana police station.
Earlier, the police had also issued a lookout notice to stop Gosavi from leaving the country. Before being taken into custody, Gosavi was told on Thursday that Prabhakar cell was lying. All I want to request is that their CDR report be released. After that everything will be clear.
