Mumbai: These days Mumbaikars are leading in the ongoing war against COVID-19. Mumbaikars fighting COVID are not giving up soon. If we look at the data of BMC Health Department, in the last one month, the number of people who died of COVID has come down by 46 percent. There was also a time in Mumbai when the corona virus had dominated Mumbaikars so much that along with new cases, the death toll was also very high. At one time, more than 10 thousand new patients were being received daily in Mumbai and 60 to 70 people were dying, but with the calming of the wave, there has been a good decline in the death toll as well.
If we assess the data of BMC Health Department, between October 10 and November 10, 124 people have lost their lives due to COVID, while from November 20 to December 9, 67 COVID patients have died. Death Review Committee Chairman Dr. Avinash Supe said that the number of COVID patients in Mumbai has come down significantly, due to which the death toll has also come down. Due to vaccination, the severity of the disease in people has also been reduced significantly. The number of critical patients has also reduced as compared to earlier. These are good signs.

-Dr. Avinash Supe, Chairman, Death Review Committee
Currently, the pace of corona vaccination has increased significantly. In Mumbai, 100 percent people have completed the first dose, due to which it is helping to prevent the spread of corona virus. Therefore, the number of corona patients seems to be decreasing. Due to taking the vaccine, even if infected with the virus, there is no serious effect on the patient. As a result of this, now the death toll from Corona is decreasing. This is a very good thing.
