Mumbai: The investigation into the alleged extortion case in the cruise drugs case of Mumbai has been stopped. Mumbai Police had constituted SET (Special Inquiry Team) to investigate the whole matter and also questioned around 20 people. Till now the police has not registered any case in this case.
According to ANI, the Mumbai Police has informed that the investigation into the alleged extortion case in the Cruise Drugs case has been put on hold till further orders. Mumbai Police had constituted SET (Special Inquiry Team) for investigation and also questioned about 20 people. Till now no case has been registered in this case and at present no evidence has been found in the case.

In fact, Sam Dsouza, an important link in this case, was also questioned by the Special Investigation Team of Mumbai Police. D’Souza’s name had cropped up in connection with the allegations of payment in the case. Independent witness Prabhakar Sail claimed last month that he overheard NCB witness KP Gosavi discussing a Rs 25 crore payment deal with D’Souza over phone after NCB arrested Aryan Khan. The Mumbai Police later constituted a special team to probe the allegations of extortion against NCB officials in connection with the case.
