Mumbai. There was a stir after Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar received death threats. He was threatened by a letter. Byculla Police has registered an FIR in this matter and started investigation. Meanwhile, the government has provided security to the mayor. State Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil has given this information.
The Home Minister said during a media interaction that, “After the letter threatening to kill Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar, the government has provided security to her and her family. The search is on for the sender of the letter. Strict action will be taken against them.”

It is noteworthy that on Friday, Kishori Pednekar received a letter from the courier, in which death threats were made. Abusive language has been used in the letter. This letter was couriered from Panvel. A different address is written on it. The police have registered an FIR by recording the statement of the mayor.
