In the direction of strengthening the health sector structure, the UP Public Service Commission has made a big contribution, which along with other departments, gave relief to the citizens by making recruitment in a time bound, fair and speedy manner in health and medical education.
Keeping in view the public interest, The Public Service Commission selected the posts related to the Health Department on the basis of preference as soon as possible, so that the selected candidates can take up the responsibility of their assigned posts at the earliest. In this sequence, time bound action was taken ensuring the fairness, purity and transparency of the selection process in letter and spirit.
4062 candidates interview completed
In this sequence, advertisement for the selection proceedings for 3620 posts of 15 cadres of Allopathic Medical Officer (Category-2) was issued by the Commission on 28.05.2021, in which the last date for receipt of applications was June 28. Taking quick action, the commission started interviewing the candidates within a month of the last date. The interviews were completed for all the cadres in just about two and a half months. The closing date of the interview was 07.10.2021, but before that the results of the first two cadre Pediatrics/Anesthetist were released on August 18, 2021, a month before the commencement of the interview. Not only this, the final result of all the cadres within a month from the end of the interview date 2.11. Released by 2021. In this way, 4062 candidates were interviewed for selection to 3620 posts of Pediatrician, Anesthetist, Physician, Pathologist etc. in 15 cadres of allopathic medical specialists on priority basis while working on war footing. In about four months 1237 candidates were found suitable for selection.

Result of 82 posts released
Apart from this, the results of about 82 posts of other cadres of medical department such as Statistician cum Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Pathology, Community Medicine, Psychiatric and Anesthesia were released and interviews were also completed for 5 posts of MOH cum Assistant Professor and 15 posts of Assistant Professor, Blood Bank. are done. The result of the said posts will be released this week, while the process of conducting interviews on the remaining posts of Assistant Professor is being taken as soon as possible. Keeping in view the need of health services in the COVID pandemic, the Commission has further enhanced its dynamism by ensuring transparency, fairness. Medical and Health Services U.P. Advertisement for 4743 posts of Staff Nurse / Sister (Grade-2) (Female and Male) was issued on 16 July. One month’s time was given for the application and in just one and a half months, the written examination was conducted on October 3. The final selection result of the said posts in the following categories has been issued provisionally as follows
- 50 male and 1627 female candidates selected against 2582 posts (50 male and 2532 female) of Medical and Health Department
- 90 male and 623 female candidates selected against 1235 posts (90 male and 1145 female) of Medical Education and Training Department
- Of. Yes. M. You. 46 male and 578 female candidates selected against 926 posts (46 male and 880 female)
- A total of 3014 candidates were selected in the above three categories.
- Due to not getting the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the commission, 1729 posts could not be filled.
The selection process was completed in a transparent manner
Commission Chairman Sanjay Shrinet said that within about five months of the release of the advertisement, the process of selection on 4743 posts of Staff Nurse was completed transparently, which is an inspirational criterion in itself. He appreciated the commitment and determination of the Commission personnel and the work culture of the Commission for this, who contributed in the national interest to keep the health services strong even during the period of COVID 19 pandemic. He said that the advertisement of remaining 448 vacancies of Staff Nurse (Male) would also be issued this month.
