Ranchi : Continuous efforts are being made by the Ranchi District Administration to connect the gender-transformed community (transgender) with the mainstream. In this episode, today Deputy Development Commissioner, Ranchi Vishal Sagar, District Social Welfare Officer Shatrunjay Kumar and Kumud Jha of NGO Divyam Dreams, working for the upliftment of Transgender Community. In the meeting, while discussing the topics related to making Aadhar card and transgender certificate, providing shelter, COVID-19 vaccination and health check-up to the transgender community to get the benefits of various schemes, the Deputy Development Commissioner gave necessary guidelines to the District Social Welfare Officer. lamps.

Shelter home will be constructed in the district
Steps are also being taken by the District Administration Ranchi towards a shelter home for the transgender community, suitable place is being found for this. The Deputy Development Commissioner, in coordination with the concerned Circle Officer, directed the Social Welfare Officer to submit the report. With the construction of a transgender home, such transgenders who are abandoned from their homes will be able to get shelter.
“Spread Awareness in the Community”
Deputy Development Commissioner Vishal Sagar asked the District Social Welfare Officer and NGO representative to spread awareness among the transgender community about the benefits of the schemes available to them. He said that the transgenders should be made aware to get more and more transgender certificates. The Deputy Development Commissioner said that if someone does not have a medical certificate of being transgender, then one can apply for a certificate by submitting an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs 10. For transgender certificate, application has to be made on the portal of National Portal for Transgender Person, Ministry of Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
