Ministry of External Affairs internship program : The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has launched an internship program under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate the 75th year of independence, for which 75 candidates are invited. will be selected.
According to an official statement, the MEA Internship Policy 2022 aims at taking foreign policy closer to the people, increasing focus on MEA, providing better information to interns by the ministry, ensuring better gender inclusivity and qualifications, domicile and To provide more diversity in terms of socio-economic status.
eligibility
Normally Indian nationals holding a minimum graduate degree from a recognized university can apply for internship in MEA. Students studying in the final year of graduation can also apply, where internship is a compulsory part of their final year course. The age of the candidate should not exceed 25 years as on 31st December in the year of internship.
In 2022, 75 internships will be offered for a period of three months during April-June, 2022.
The entire selection process including application, scrutiny, selection, division allocation, notification, extension and certification will be online at www.internship.mea.gov.in. Every candidate has to register on the internship portal to participate in this process.

10 thousand rupees per month will get stipend
Every intern will get an honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month. One-time economy class airfare will be given for to and fro Delhi from the domicile state capital. During the internship, you will have to make your own arrangements for accommodation and food in Delhi.
selection procedure
There will be two stages in the selection process – Preliminary Screening and Personal Interview. The quota cum weightage system will be followed in the process, in which applicants from 28 states and 8 union territories will be considered.
Two interns will be selected from 28 states and 8 union territories. In addition there will be 3 interns from TADP districts/underprivileged sections of the society. Of the 75 internships, at least 30 percent of the 75 internships will be women. Assessment will be done on the basis of marks in +2 and Graduation examinations. State wise merit list will be prepared.

Preference will be given to applicants from TADP districts during the preliminary screening stage and SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories in the personal interview stage.
Candidates shortlisted in the merit list will be contacted for personal interview through video conferencing.
During the internship, candidates will be exposed to various aspects of the working of the Ministry, its associated offices, the public interface of the Ministry and its role in assisting Indian citizens. A visit to a foreign mission will likely be made based on the terms and conditions.
