Russia-Ukraine War: Dozens of American, European and Japanese companies have either left or are preparing to leave Russia in response to Russia’s attack on Ukraine. According to the report, the number of companies leaving Russia after the attack on Ukraine is around 60 and is likely to increase further. The name of the giant American fast food company McDonald’s is also included in these companies.
McDonald’s has announced that it is going to close all 847 of its outlets in Russia. After this announcement, huge crowds have gathered outside McDonald’s outlets in Russia and McDonald’s burgers have started selling online in Russia for Rs 25,000. Seeing the opportunity in the disaster, people have filled the burgers in their respective fridges to sell them online at huge prices.
A Big Mac Burger is being sold for around Rs 2,300. As The Independent reports, a Big Mac meal (which comes with fries and a soft drink) is being sold for up to £250 (about Rs 24,942). In many videos and pictures on social media, huge crowds are seen outside the outlets.

Two sealed bags with no name items cost more than Rs 33,400. Apart from McDonald’s, an order of Coca Cola is being sold for around Rs 1,000. McDonald’s employs 62,000 people in more than 800 outlets in Russia. In a press note on March 8, the company said it would continue to pay them despite the closure.
