Aurangabad: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Aurangabad Light House NGO, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and Smart City had organized a skill development project for the students. Let us tell you that Light House is a project of skill development and livelihood of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation, Aurangabad Smart City and Light House Community.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a program was organized for the girl students of Light House at the headquarters of Aurangabad Smart City. Women from diverse fields were invited to the event to express their views on a wide range of topics such as personal hygiene, women empowerment, fitness and wellness. In which prominently senior social workers Dr. Varsha Apte, Savita Kulkarni, Mehjabeen Hashmi were involved. The program was inaugurated by Aparna Thete, Deputy Commissioner of Municipal Corporation. After that in her view, Aparna Thete appealed to the students to use the resources provided by the Municipal Corporation and Smart City by the Light House. Along with this, the students of Light House shared their travel experience. On this occasion 120 students had registered their presence in the program.
Various programs in the municipal headquarters
Here, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, various programs were organized in Aurangabad Municipal Corporation under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Joshi and Deputy Commissioner Aparna Thete. In which Fun Game, Sangeet Kursi, Rangoli competition was taken for the women working in various departments of the Municipal Corporation. On this occasion, health check-up of 25 women employees was done. After that prizes were distributed to the successful women employees in the competition. Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Joshi said that on March 9, a business guidance camp has been organized for women savings groups.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, all the women teachers under the Municipal Corporation Central Secondary School, Priyadarshini, were felicitated in a program organized under the chairmanship of former corporator Lata Nikalje at Primary School Eknath Nagar. Madhuri Dhond, Deputy Commissioner Santosh Tengle, Education Officer Ramnath Thore, Cultural Officer Sanjeev Sonar, Program Officer Gyanedav Sangle, Shashikant Ubale, Santosh Tapkire, Deepak Nikalje were present as chief guests on the occasion. After honoring the women teachers, a bike rally was taken out from Municipal Primary School Eknath Nagar to the statue of Shivaji Maharaj located in Kranti Chowk. The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Santosh Tengle.

Earlier, in the program organized for the reception, Madhuri Dhond said that women teachers have to face many difficulties to provide education to the students in the school as well as to run their family. The teachers working in the Municipal School teach the students, while the students are the future pillars of the society. Despite many problems in the municipal schools, the students studying in those schools are showing their dominance. Madhuri Dhond praised the municipal administration for this. Headmaster Santosh Tapkire and co-teachers Urmila Bhalerao, Gayatri Jadhav, Archana Mohinde, Mangala Pagare, Vidya Bubbles worked hard to make the program a success.
