Vasai: Arnala Police has arrested two laborers for allegedly murdering their friend over money transaction. A police officer said that the accused were arrested. Senior Inspector Raju Mane of Arnala Sagari Police Station said that on December 10, the mutilated body of an unidentified man, around 40, was found near a well in Arnala. Which was sent for post-mortem. Based on the information received from the informer, the police came to know that the deceased was last seen with a person at Dongrapara in Virar, after which he was taken into custody.
He said that the deceased was later identified as Harish Nathu Padal, who worked as a farm laborer and was also involved in the business of fisheries. It also said that after the suspect was taken into custody, it was found that the accused, the victim and another person were also involved in the business of fisheries to earn extra income. They used to quarrel every day over the distribution of money. He was also addicted to drinking alcohol.

Mane said that on the day of the incident, there was an argument between the victim and two other accused over the transaction of money. Meanwhile, in anger, both the accused attacked the victim’s head with some hard object. Due to which he died on the spot. Later they dumped the body at a secluded place near the well. Police said that both have been arrested and a case has been registered against them under section 302 of murder and other sections.
