Aurangabad: In the ongoing winter session of the Maharashtra government, the state’s Minorities Minister Nawab Malik clearly said that until the Central Government does not extend the period of reservation for more than 50 percent, then Maratha And it is difficult to give reservation to the Muslim community. MIM’s Aurangabad MP Imtiaz Jalil took a jibe at Nawab Malik’s statement and said that Congress-NCP should stop fooling Muslims. In 2014, the then Congress-NCP coalition government of the state had decided to give 5 percent reservation to Muslims. That government was a betrayal of the Muslim society.
It is worth mentioning that in the ongoing winter session of the state, SP MLA Abu Asim Azmi had surrounded the government regarding Muslim reservation and called for an answer. On the issue raised by Azmi for Muslim reservation, Minorities Minister Nawab Malik made it clear that the deadline for 50 percent reservation in the state is already fixed. In this, after passing the bill of increase by the central government, the state government can take a decision on it. The state government has asked the central government for abatement in it several times, but due to no initiative taken by the central government, the state government is facing problems in giving reservation to the Maratha and Muslim community.

MP Jalil took a jibe
On this statement of Malik, MP Jalil said that more than 50 percent reservation cannot be given in government jobs, this was known to the then Congress-NCP Aghadi government of the state. Then why the 5 percent reservation bill was brought to Muslims in government jobs and education in 2014? Presenting this question, MP Jalil took a dig at Malik’s statement. MP Jalil said that this rule was applicable even before the 2014 elections. The then Aghadi government was aware of this, then why the ordinance was brought to give reservation? Jalil said that the Mumbai High Court must have kept all these things in mind before passing an order giving 5 per cent reservation in education to Muslims. On the policy of Congress-NCP, Jalil clearly said that both these parties are fooling Muslims in the name of reservation. Congress and NCP will have to answer this to the Muslim community of Maharashtra.
