In fact, after the cabinet meeting, Tope said that the average corona infection rate is much higher in four districts of the state, namely, Nashik, Nanded, Pune and Raigad. However, out of the total infected patients, only 5% of the patients need to be hospitalized, while 95 percent of the beds are vacant. By the way, the corona infection rate in the state is around 23.5%.
On the other hand, on the question of corona test, Tope claimed that the number of RTPCR tests of corona in the state has not been reduced. 87% of corona patients are in home quarantine. There is no negligence in the corona test. He said that a target of vaccination has been set for more than 9 crore people in the state. Currently, 90% of people have received the first dose of the vaccine, while 60% have received the second dose.
It is noteworthy that from the coming Monday 24 January 2022, all schools for classes 1-12 will be opened in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad gave this information in this regard. He told that, along with the precautions of COVID-19, we have also decided to open pre-primary school.
The kin of one lakh 10 thousand dead got help
Regarding giving assistance to the families of those killed in Corona, Health Minister Tope said that an ex-gratia amount of Rs 50,000 is being given to the families of those who lost their lives due to Corona. So far about 1 lakh 50 thousand people have died in the state due to Corona. In this, assistance amount has been given to the families of 1 lakh 10 thousand dead, while the claim of the relatives of about 40 thousand dead is being investigated. The amount of help will also be given to them as soon as possible.
