Along with this, the police said on the incident that, these people are accused of allegedly demanding extortion of Rs 20 lakh from a builder by using the name of Deputy CM Ajit Pawar. It is being told that the accused had made a fake call through an app to demand extortion from the builder. At present, all the accused have been sent to 10-day police remand.

Actually PA Chowgule of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was talking to a big builder in Pune. Then the accused misused Ajit Pawar’s mobile number through an app and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 lakh from the businessman. It is to be told that the accused had also withdrawn two lakh rupees from the money received.

This incident was on for the last ten days i.e. till January 13. Eventually the businessman went to the police and reported the crime. Later a case under sections 66 (c) and (d) of IPC384, 386, 506 and 34 IT Act has been registered at Bundagarden police station. At present, the police have arrested 6 people in this case and they have been sent to 10-day police custody.
