Wardha/Hinganghat. The court has convicted Vicky alias Vikesh Nagrale (27), the accused in the famous teacher fire incident that shook the entire Maharashtra. District Sessions Judge Rahul D. Bhagwat has decided to pronounce the sentence in this case on February 10. If the accused is sentenced to life imprisonment or death, all eyes are on this.
Tight police arrangements were kept in the court premises throughout the day on Wednesday. The process went on in the court of Judge Bhagwat at 11.22 am, the court work ended at 12.05 pm. During this, public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, associate lawyer Deepak Vaidya and defense lawyer Bhupendra Sone participated in the court proceedings. Ed. Nikam said that it has been decided to give the final decision in the matter on February 10. It is to be known that Ankita died on 10 February 2020. After this, the sentence of the accused of his murder is going to be announced on February 10 itself.
Discomfort was visible on the face of the accused
The accused was produced by the police in the court premises. An uneasiness and fear was clearly visible on Vikesh’s face as soon as he came to know about the conviction of the murder. He was informed about the verdict that defense lawyer Bhupendra Sone reached the accused, this fight is not over here, we will fight in the senior court, he was seen comforting him.
Police kept tight guard throughout the day
In view of the seriousness of the case, there was a tight guard of the police in the court premises from morning till evening. Under the supervision of Superintendent of Police Prashant Holkar, Additional Superintendent of Police Yashwant Solanki, DYSP Dinesh Kadam, LCB PI Sanjay Gaikwad, SHO Sampat Chavan, 13 police officers under the leadership of Cyber Cell API Mahendra Ingle, 98 female and male policemen, QRT commands and riots The control team was deployed.
The accused was presented in police protection
The verdict in the teacher’s fire case was expected on February 9. As a result the accused was produced in the court in full security. Victim’s mother Sangeeta and father Arun Pisudde and family members were also present in the court. Citizens also crowded the court premises.
Entire market closed till 2 pm
On Wednesday, the entire market was kept closed in the court premises till 2 pm. The road was tightly guarded by the police. Employees of all government offices were not allowed to enter the premises without identity cards.
Full faith in justice system: Victim’s parents
Justice was expected in this case on Wednesday. The accused was found guilty. On Thursday, the court will give a proper decision, with this we have full faith in the judiciary. This response was given by the victim’s mother Sangeeta and father Arun Pisudde.
Will appeal in High Court
The court did not consider our rationale and the evidence presented. On Thursday, we will not make any kind of rationalization, against the decision which will come, we will file an appeal in the Nagpur Bench of the High Court.

Killed in this way
Ankita Pisudde, a resident of Daroda, was working as a lecturer in a college in Hinganghat. He was friends with the accused Vicky alias Vikesh Nagrale (27), a resident of the village. But due to the rift between the two families, Ankita stopped talking to Vikesh. After that Vikesh was also married, but he did not leave Ankita behind. On 3 February 2020, Ankita reached Hinganghat by bus as usual. Nandori was going from the crossroads to the college on foot. Vikesh reached her on a two-wheeler at 7.30 am. Threatening, he sprinkled petrol on Ankita and set her on fire. The citizens present extinguished the fire as soon as they came to mind, but Ankita was badly scorched.
Death in hospital on 10 February 2020
Ankita was immediately admitted to the Orange City Hospital in Nagpur for treatment. On the same day afternoon, Vikesh was taken into custody from the Bootibori compound. After treatment that lasted for about 7 days, Ankita lost the battle with life at 6.55 am on 10 February 2020.
Masses descended on the road, the incident was prohibited
After the above incident, not only Wardha but also in many districts of Maharashtra, candle marches were taken out. A huge crowd had landed on the way in Wardha. The demand for capital punishment to the accused started rising, MP Navneet Rana had also raised this issue in Parliament.
Appointment of Special Public Prosecutor Nikam
In the case, the demand for appointment of Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam started on behalf of the government side. Ankita’s father also made this demand. Eventually, along with running the case in the fast track court, the Chief Minister, on behalf of the government side, filed Ed. Ujjwal Nikam’s appointment was announced.
Chargesheet filed on February 28
In the case, the investigating officer Trupti Jadhav, after conducting a detailed investigation for 19 days, filed a 424-page chargesheet in the court on February 28, in two years, the matter was heard in the court 65 times. In this 34 times Ed. Nikam was present. There were a total of 77 witnesses in the case, out of which the statements of 29 witnesses were examined. After the completion of the case, the accused was proved guilty.
