- Murmadi incident
lakhandur, In search of prey, a leopard that reached the village during the night had an incident of attacking 2 goats. In this incident, the leopard hunted 1 goat on the spot, while the goat owner has been accused of migrating one goat. The said incident happened on February 2 at 4 am in Murmadi of Tehsil.
In this incident, information has been given about the loss of about 8,000 rupees to the victim goat owner named Shalikram Maroti Gahane, resident of Murmadi.
According to the information received, during the night on 2 February in Murmadi of Tehsil being found in the forest area, a leopard reached the village in search of prey. During this, the leopard attacked the two goats by entering the house of the goats constructed next to the resident of the goat owner’s house.
In this attack, the leopard hunted at the place of a goat. While the other 1 goat is accused of migrating towards the forest area.
During the morning, 1 goat was seen dead when the goat owner and family went to release the goats as usual. While another 1 goat was seen missing. The victim goat owner immediately informed the local Lakhandur Forest Department about this incident.
According to which, local Lakhandur forest area officer Rupesh Gavit and field assistant J.K. Under the guidance of Dighore, forest guard S.G. Khandagale reached the spot and performed Panchnama. In this incident, the victim goat owner has been accused of being a victim of goats worth about Rs 8,000.
