- Accused of shutting down water supply of SC dominated settlement
Chandur Railway. The incident of leaving the village by dozens of villagers alleging that the water supply of a Scheduled Caste dominated settlement in Savanga Magrapur tehsil of Tehsil has been stirred up in the entire state. The villagers, who left the village from Wednesday night, started a dera movement at the village border. For the last 28 days, the residents of the township have alleged that the water supply was deliberately cut off. Three months ago, in Danapur of Chandur railway tehsil, the incident of leaving the village in a similar way had come to light. After which the reason for local politics became clear in the investigation.
Water supply is stalled for 28 days
In ward no.1 of Savangi Magrapur, a request has been made to the local scheduled caste people regarding the problem of water, from the MLA to the district officials. But still this problem is not solved. Due to which the residents are struggling for water for the last 28 consecutive days. Finally, fed up with the night of Wednesday 2 February, the people of the Scheduled Castes camped with the family at a well outside the village.
We will not move until we do not rub water. These villagers showed such aggression. There is no water supply in another area of the same village and there is no water in our area. By making this allegation, the residents started this Dera movement, 1 km away from the village, expressing anguish. As soon as the information was received, Deputy Commissioner of Social Welfare Sunil Ware, Tehsildar Rajendra Ingle, Group Development Officer Mandar Patki, Extension Officer Sudhakar Umap, Divisional Officer Satish Gosavi reached the village in the afternoon on Thursday and came to know about the problems of the agitating villagers.
The people of the ward only broke the pipeline
Ward no. In 1 the people of this ward broke the water pipeline. Due to which the water supply of the settlement has stopped. The work of undoing the water supply is started on a war footing. Due to which the entire allegations leveled by the local agitators on the Gram Panchayat administration are false and baseless, the Sarpanch of Savanga Magrapur, Shalu Suryavanshi and Deputy Sarpanch Jurawar Khan Pathan have claimed.
Action will be taken immediately after investigation – foster minister
If water is not being given to any specific society, then definitely big action will be taken in this matter. Earlier also a similar incident had come to light in Chandur Railway Tehsil, but the reason for local politics became clear in the investigation. Due to which action will be taken against the culprits after investigating the incident of Savangi Magrapur. MLA Pratap Adsad has ordered action against the culprits in this case on the allegations of depriving the people of scheduled caste settlements from water. On the complaint received in this context, B.Adsad gave information about water supply through tanker in the village. Getting water is a fundamental right of everyone. According to the MLA, if someone is depriving him of water for politics. So after investigation, appropriate action has been ordered.

According to Manish Sathe, State General Secretary of Azad Samaj Party, Azad Samaj Party has supported this Dera movement in connection with the closure of water supply in the scheduled caste settlement in Sawangi Magrapur. Due to the shutdown of water supply for 25 days, there has been a situation of this agitation on the villagers. The party is with the agitators till justice is done.
