Bhiwandi : Despite lakhs of efforts of the government and municipal administration, the vaccination graph in the power loom city of Bhiwandi is the lowest in Thane district. Despite 75 percent of the people who have not vaccinated in the last 3 months, people are not opening their eyes to vaccination. Municipal Commissioner Sudhakar Deshmukh has appealed to the residents of the city to get vaccination pending for the safety of life.
It may be mentioned that in Bhiwandi, educated youths in the age group of 15 to 18 years are also coming forward to get COVID vaccination in very small numbers. It is surprising that in the month of January, 75% of people have been exposed to corona due to non-vaccination. According to municipal sources, 1560 people were corona infected in the month of January, in which 1039 people did not take a single dose of vaccination. Of those infected, 69 people took the first dose and 276 people took the second dose.

Vaccination goondas ignoring educated youth
The most important thing is that the government is vigorously campaigning for the vaccination of youths between the ages of 15 and 18, who are studying in schools and colleges. On the instructions of the government, the municipal administration is busy in encouraging the youth for vaccination by organizing vaccination camps in all the schools, colleges located in the city. If sources are to be believed, despite all the efforts of the government, no enthusiasm is being seen on the educated youth regarding vaccination. According to municipal records, 29 thousand youths in the age group of 15 to 18 years were eligible for vaccination, in which 15 thousand 450 youths have received the first dose and 898 have received the second dose so far. The Municipal Corporation is vigorously campaigning for vaccination through 15 mobile bans including all cultural buildings, schools, colleges, 15 Municipal Health Centers located in the city, despite the lack of proper support from the citizens of the city, especially the youth. Municipal officials are also very worried.
Vaccination is the only shield for health protection
Expressing serious concern over the low graph of vaccination, Municipal Commissioner Sudhakar Deshmukh has appealed to the residents that it is absolutely necessary to get the COVID-19 vaccination done for health security. New variants of Corona are coming regularly. Corona can be faced only through vaccination. Educated youth should come forward and get vaccinated. Along with the hard work of the administration, it is difficult to control the corona without the cooperation of the citizens.
