- Instructions to do a survey on the demand of former Deputy Chairman Yadav and respectfully report
- Proposal for 2 units of 660 MW
- 6,000 locals will get employment
Nagpur, For the purpose of industrial development of Ramtek tehsil of the district and providing employment to the unemployed, there is a demand to establish two units expanded in Koradi Power Project in Mauja Patgowari (Hatitola) premises of Ramtek tehsil.
Udaysing Yadav, former Deputy Chairman of Panchayat Samiti Ramtek, made the above demand from the Energy Minister, Congress State President, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, due to which the Under Secretary to the Chairman and Administrative Director of the Grand Construction, the State Government, the Energy Department and the Special Officer, the State Government has done commercial, technical as per the rules. And after doing a survey of environmental feasibility, he has been instructed to respect his report. Energy Minister Nitin Raut, State President Nana Patole have recommended to set up an expanded project in Patgowari.
2 units of 660 nuts
Let us inform that in place of old units 1 and 5 in Koradi, 2 units of 660 MW are proposed. Yadav said in his statement that Koradi is situated on the border of Nagpur City and the pollution caused by the existing project is disturbing the citizens of the surrounding and the city. Therefore, there is doubt in getting permission for the expansion project from the Ministry of Environment.
Therefore, from the point of view of development of other areas of the district, the expanded project should be established in Patgowari of Ramtek tehsil. If this project is established here, then at least 6,000 local people of the tehsil will get employment.
production at low cost
If the power plant is established in Patgowari of Ramtek, then the raw material and resources to be used will be available very near at low prices, which will also reduce the cost of power generation and will help in providing electricity to the citizens at a low rate. He told that there are 5 coal mines within just 15-16 km from where coal transportation will cost negligible. Good quality coal will be available from Gondegaon, Singori, Kamathi open cast, Bhanegaon and Inder coal mines. There is Totladoh project for water system at a distance of 30 km, Pench Dam at a distance of 5 km.
Transport facility available
If the project is set up in Patgowari, then there will be no need to spend separately on infrastructure for transport facility. Mansar Railway Station is at 2 km away, Ramteke station at 4 km, Amdi station at 4 km. There will be no need to put a new railway line. Nagpur-Mansar-Jabalpur highway number-44 is at a distance of 2 km.
Coal can also be transported by road. Yadav has also told in his letter that the land of the area is of very poor quality from the point of view of agriculture due to the presence of murmadi and red soil. The farmer is ready to give land for the project. He said that a meeting at the ministry level is also going to be held soon in this regard.
For the all-round development of the district, there is a need for equal development of all the tehsils. The concentration of industries and businesses has been limited to Nagpur only. People will get employment here by setting up an expanded power project in Ramtek tehsil. Along with this other businesses will also grow.
