Thane: The Mumbai-Nashik Highway was blocked in the morning session due to ongoing road construction in Mankoli and two trucks halting at Mankoli and Anjurphata. Queues of vehicles were kept for four kilometers. This jam lasted for about three and a half hours. Transport service was eventually restored after the truck was removed, but the drivers faced heavy traffic jams during this period.
According to the information received, Saturday was a day of traffic jam for the drivers of Thanekars going towards Bhiwandi, Nashik. The incident happened around 11 am when a truck stopped at Mankoli fork on its way from Mumbai to Nashik. After this a truck stopped at Anjurphata. Which further increased the traffic congestion. Therefore, there was a long queue of vehicles from Mankoli to Majiwada Naka directly. Meanwhile, work is going on on the cement concrete road on the same route in Mankoli. As a result, traffic was already slow. It was learned that the traffic jam had worsened due to the stoppage of the truck at two places. The drivers had to deal with this jam for more than three and a half hours. After that the traffic police removed the closed truck from here and then gradually the traffic was restored in the afternoon.

Four lane work going on
Four by four lane work is also going on from Majiwada to Vadapa. Although the work is going on at a brisk pace, the traffic is moving on two lanes. This has made it difficult for even small vehicles to cross the road. As a result, these vehicles also got stuck in the same situation.
