Thane: The meeting of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Corporation has counted many flaws in the Clean Air Action Plan to be started in the city of the corporators and raised the question of how the city was affected by these projects. that the air will be pure. In the standing committee meeting, BJP corporator Milind Patankar pointed out the shortcomings of some projects in the Clean Air Action Plan. Municipal Corporation is about to buy 80 electric buses for air pollution. But, Patankar raised the question as to what measures are being taken by the municipal administration to set up charging stations and increase the use of electric vehicles to check pollution from other vehicles in the city. He asked whether it was possible to implement this project keeping in view the traffic system in the city. He also raised the question as to how the air pollution in the entire city can be checked by cycling only 850 meters on the roads in Surendra Industries area. In response, Thane Municipal Corporation’s Pollution Control Officer Manisha Pradhan claimed that both these projects would prevent air pollution in the city. However, he did not elaborate on the question of how air pollution in the entire city can be curbed with one lane of cycling. That’s why Shiv Sena corporator Sudhir Kokate suggested giving cycles to school children from the cycle path fund.
