Mumbai: BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya was attacked in Pune. All the accused in the attack have surrendered, but the BJP is not satisfied. Former MP Somaiya met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Tuesday and urged him to take action against the top leaders of Shiv Sena responsible for the attack.
On the other hand, a BJP delegation led by Pune Mayor Murlidhar Mohol met the Pune Police Commissioner and submitted a memorandum to him. The commissioner was told on behalf of the delegation that they were not satisfied with the action of the police. The mayor has also said that Somaiya will be invited to come to Pune soon. They will be honored on the same steps where they were pushed.

Recently, BJP leaders had gone to the Pune Municipal Corporation to file a complaint in connection with the alleged scam in COVID Hospital. He was attacked when he was climbing the stairs of the Municipal Corporation. Somaiya alleges that an attempt was made to kill him. He has blamed Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for this. Police had registered a case against Shiv Sena’s Sanjay More, Kiran Sali, Suraj Lokhande, Chandan Salunke, Akash Shinde, Rupesh Pawar, Rajendra Shinde and Sunny Gwate. All the accused surrendered before the police on Tuesday.
Will meet Home Minister Amit Shah
BJP leader Kirit Somaiya met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and explained to him in detail about the attack in Pune. He said that action should be taken against those responsible for the attack. Somaiya said that in this context, we will soon meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and give information about the hooliganism of Shiv Sena in the state.

Pune BJP has said that former MP Kirit Somaiya will be invited to Pune on Friday, February 11. He will be felicitated on the stairs from which he was pushed. BJP state president Chandrakant Patil has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah informing him about the matter.
